Welcome Revelle College Parents & Family Members!

We know your important role in supporting your new Revelle College student. This is a big transition for you and your student! As partners in your student's educational experience, we offer a revamped Parent & Family Orientation. Get connected with Revelle College staff to get your questions answered.

While Parent & Family Orientation is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

An email invitation is sent to families that the student has indicated in their contact information and orientation registration. The email invitation does not confirm registration!  Parents and family members must complete their registration separately from students. 

We offer our Parent & Family Orientation completely online in August. Last year, the event took place on Friday, August 25, 2023 from  9am-12pm. We'll update this page with a new date and time later in the summer. 

Orientation will be recorded and released a few days after completion. Because this is a virtual online orientation experience, there is no admission fee. We hope you'll join in to meet our Provost, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Academic Advising, and our student and faculty panelists as we answer your questions and offer help in supporting your Revelle College student.

Due to limited space and cost, we are not offering an in-person family orientation at this time.

There's more than just the Revelle Family Orientation! We're partnering with different campus resources to host a variety of webinars and presentations so you can be prepare for life as a parent of a college student at UC San Diego. There's plenty of options to pick from so pick a time that makes sense for your schedule.

International Parent and Family Orientation Program

The International Students and Programs Office, in collaboration with the UC San Diego Parent and Family Programs Office, offers an optional International Parent and Family Orientation program. This program is separate from the Revelle College Parent & Family Orientation program.

Is your student a continuing student with questions or concerns?

There's plenty for you, too! Triton Weeks of Welcome (TWOW) programs and events are designed to welcome all students to UC San Diego campus in the fall. For more information, please visit the Tritons Weeks of Welcome page and follow the Revelle College Instagram page @allthingsrevelle.
