Transfer Student Orientation 

Welcome Transfer Students!

We are here to help you get to know your new home at Revelle College. You’ll have Orientation Leaders to serve as your student guides as you learn about your academic, leadership, and involvement opportunities, and meet fellow students, staff, and faculty along the way. This is your time for a smooth transition to Triton and Revelle life.

Here you will find important upcoming deadlines for Summer 2026. We will update this page later in the summer with an orientation schedule and reminders.

1. Submit your Academic Background on the New Triton Advising site on the Virtual Advising Center which opens on June 22. Deadline is July 1. This helps us provide proper academic orientation and enrollment guidance for you this summer. 

2. Register for orientation by Friday July 24th at http://cor.ucsd.edu. (Opens June 22)

   • Please note there are two days of orientation: Part 1, a required virtual component and Part 2, a required in-person component.

   • Register by the deadline to avoid any late fees or holds on your record.

3. Review all your important university deadlines. Starting June 22, you can use the Revelle IMPORTANT DATES document when it is updated. Be sure to follow the instructions in your Admissions Enrollment Checklist.

   • Remember you are responsible for completing your administrative obligations.

   • Missed deadlines could impact your admission or your ability to enroll in Fall. 

4. Complete your Canvas modules starting in August

   • Canvas is an online, interactive tool that you'll use for classes and orientation.

   • You'll need to complete the modules by September 15. You'll receive an email to your @ucsd.edu email account when your Orientation Canvas modules are live. 

 All in-person will be in accordance with health and safety protocols. We will update you as information becomes available. 

Orientation Dates (subject to change through June)

Part 1- On Zoom (You'll select one)

August 5   5:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

August 8   9:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

Part 2- In-Person (You'll select one)

September 17   9:00 am - 6:00 pm PDT 

September 20   9:00 am - 6:00 pm PDT

We are finalizing the details for August and September. You'll need to attend one date in August (via Zoom) and one date in September (in-person).

Please pay attention to all communication from HDH about move in processes. Move-in is only for students with housing contracts. You cannot move in on your orientation date.

There is a fee for orientation of $200. Fees are paid as part of fall billing alongside your tuition and no separate payment is submitted. The fee includes staffing, food, swag, and the campus $20 programming fee including Words of Welcome (formerly Convocation).
