York Hall ArchwayTransfer Student Orientation

Welcome all new students. We are in the process of reconstructing your orientation experience for Fall 2020. In light of the ongoing changes due to COVID-19, we will wait to unveil some details to ensure accurate information. We are excited to build a fun, interactive, safe, and informative orientation experience for everyone, including those who will be with us on campus and those starting remotely. We will be in contact with new students via email when this website relaunches with updated information. We can't wait to meet you!

Welcome Class of 2022! We're excited to meet you at orientation. We're here to help you get to know your new home at Revelle College. You'll have Orientation Leaders to serve as your student guide as you learn about your academic, leadership, and involvement opportunities, and meet fellow students, staff, and faculty along the way. This is your chance for a smooth transition to Triton and Revelle Life.

Below you'll find information about orientation sessions, a breakdown of costs, and a link to some frequently asked questions. A couple important notes:

  • Submit your Academic Background on the New Triton Advising site on the Virtual Advising Center by June 15. We want to know a little about you in order to provide proper academic orientation and course recommendations this summer.
  • Review your COMPASS online pre-orientation by July 31. Meet Revelle College and select topics you are interested in learning about once you arrive.
  • Register for orientation by July 31. Complete COMPASS to be directed to the Orientation registration page to select the date of your orientation. Register by the deadline listed below to avoid any late fees.
  • Download the Revelle App to start exploring Revelle College. This will be a tool you use as a resource for Orientation, so be sure to have it installed when you attend. Please contact us if you have any concerns about the app.

Printable version of the Transfer Student Orientation Schedule will be available in September.

Attention international students and international families

All new international students (including transfer students from other U.S. schools) must sign up for and attend TWO orientations:

  1. Revelle College First-Year Orientation OR Revelle College Transfer Orientation (selection depends on your new student status)
  2. International Student Orientation Workshops and Webinars offered by the International Students and Programs Office

The International Students and Programs Office in collaboration with the Parent and Family Programs office offer an optional International Parent and Family Orientation program for parents as well.
