English Language Writing Tutor

Having trouble understanding your HUM essay prompt? Finding it challenging to form a claim and claim clarification? Need help with word choice and sentence structure? Contact our ELWT for assistance!
The ELWT can help you with all aspects of HUM essay writing:

All HUM students are welcome: English language learners, advanced English speakers, as well as students whose primary language is English.
NOTE: For help understanding your course material or suitability of your essay topics, please contact your TA. Our ELWT helps with the analytical and mechanical aspects of writing, but does not necessarily know all of the texts or course material you are studying.

    Katie Salazar

    Katie Salazar is the English Language and Writing Tutor for the Humanities Program at Revelle College. She holds an MA in English Literature as well as a Certificate in Teaching Post-Secondary Reading and a Certificate in Teaching Composition. Before joining the Humanities Program at UCSD, she taught Reading and Writing courses at community colleges across the San Diego area. As a first-generation college student, she is deeply committed to helping students succeed.
