Welcome to Revelle College. Many of you were attracted to UCSD by the international reputation of our research programs, but UCSD is also committed to undergraduate education and student life. The University's six Colleges are designed explicitly to benefit undergraduate students. The Colleges provide a variety of requirements for graduation, academic programs, student organizations, advising services, residence options, psychological services, co-curricular activities, and student life events. Although your first responsibility as a student is to your intellectual growth, this is also an important time to refine values, social sensitivities, political awareness, and avocations. We at the College hope we can help you with both your professional and personal development.

Revelle College is known for the breadth, depth and rigor of its General Education requirements. The extensive lower-division requirements in Mathematics, Humanities, Language, Sciences, Social Science and writing will position you well to choose a major that matches your strengths and interests. The requirements will also provide an education that complements your eventual field of study and your career.
